Data collected and purpose of collection

Please note that the communication of data is, depending on the case, obligatory or optional in order to access or otherwise benefit from the means or services that ARTHUS BERTRAND provides (which are described on the site). ARTHUS BERTRAND consequently thanks you for agreeing to check, before any response on your part, whether it is obligatory or optional and for appreciating the possible consequences of a failure to respond, which are brought to your attention on the site by ARTHUS BERTRAND.

Gathering of your personal information

a) ARTHUS BERTRAND may ask you for certain data including, in particular, your surname, first name, e-mail address, order address, delivery address, billing address, telephone number, type and number of payment or credit card (and its expiry date) or other means of payment:

d) Our website uses features of the Hotjar web service provided by Hotjar Ltd, St Julians Business Center, 3 Elia Zammit Street, ST Julians STJ 1000, Malta, hereinafter referred to as "Hotjar", which allows us to measure and evaluate usage behaviour on our website. By using this tool, we receive valuable information to create a user-friendly website. Using Hotjar allows us to track clicks, mouse movements, scroll height, screen size of your device, device type, browser information, geographical location (country only), language used to view our website. In the event that personal data of you or a third party is displayed on the website, it will be automatically masked by Hotjar and cannot be traced by the tool at any time. The legal basis for the use of this service is our legitimate interest in providing our website and services, preferably on a need and demand basis according to Art. 6 paragraph 1 sentence 1 letter f of the GDPR. You can prevent or stop the processing of data at any time. To do so, you can download and install a browser plugin that blocks tracking services or can adjust the settings of your browser software accordingly to prevent the installation of cookies. By accepting the Data Protection Policy, you agree that ARTHUS BERTRAND may send, receive and use Cookies. It is however specified that our Cookies which are exclusively intended to allow or facilitate communication by electronic means, or which are strictly necessary for the provision of our service in response to your express request, do not require your consent. Information stored on your computer is retained for 1 year. Collection of Third Party Data

Communication to subcontractors

ARTHUS BERTRAND communicates certain data collected to subcontractors so that they can process them on its behalf within the framework and for the purposes described in this Data Protection Policy. For example, within the framework and for the purposes of your order, we communicate your name and address to your bank for authorisation and/or confirmation of payment by card (if you choose this method of payment) and/or to the shipping company for the delivery of your order. Similarly, in the context of and for the purposes of statistical analysis of our site (to determine, for example, the number of clicks per page), we may use the information stored in your Cookies and communicate it to third parties we use for such statistical analysis. Please be aware that all statistics we produce are anonymous and in the aggregate.

Communication to partners

In some cases, we may pass on some of your Data to partners, to which you consent where appropriate.

Participation in games, competitions or satisfaction surveys: If you decide to participate in a game, competition or satisfaction survey organised on our site, we may share your data with organising partners, whose identity we will then communicate to you. International Data Transfer

In the circumstances set out in this Data Protection Policy, we may transfer data to countries outside the European Community (such as the United States of America), to which you consent where appropriate. The data protection and laws of other countries may not be as protective as those of the European Community. ARTHUS BERTRAND proposes to keep you informed of the latest offers and news proposed on our site. To this end, with your prior consent, when required by law, ARTHUS BERTRAND may use your data to :

(a) direct marketing of its own products and services by electronic means, in particular by e-mail - including SMS and MMS - and by mailing list)

(b) direct marketing of products and services on behalf of selected third parties in the jewellery and related sectors.

Your rights

In accordance with the amended law no. 78-17 of 6 January 1978 relating to information technology, files and freedoms, you have the right to access, modify, rectify, update, block and delete data concerning you. In addition to the right of opposition specific to our marketing activities, you have the right to object to your data being processed, for legitimate reasons, under the conditions and in the cases provided for by law.
