Boys’ baptism medals

Arthus Bertrand has been designing and crafting boys’ fine baptism medals with rich and evocative symbolism for more than a century. Each design is first carved into plaster that is used to stamp on 18-carat gold several times to emphasise the symbol or character portrayed. Boys’ baptism medals - Arthus Bertrand

Inspired by classic masterpieces as well as streamlined modern drawings by contemporary artists, Maison Arthus Bertrand offers a wide range of baptism medals for boys. Traditionally given by the godmother, such a medallion will accompany the child throughout their life, commemorating a special event such as a birth, christening, or birthday.

Each medallion requires 25 different steps, including several strikes on the metal to ensure that the engraved design is exceptionally well defined. Polished or sandblasted, each character and symbol stamped in 18-carat yellow or white gold shines and seems to come to life with every move. The Maison makes lifelong medallions, both secular and religious, which will appeal to all sensibilities.
